We appreciated that your heating requirements will be different to those of others. As such, the system you require will be unique to your circumstances.

After speaking with you, we can advise on the best heating solution for your needs. To help you get started, here is an overview of the different heating systems available:

Combination Boilers

These provide all hot water and heating without the need for storage tanks in the loft and hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard. Ideal for flats or houses where the demand for hot water is low. back to top

Conventional (vented)

Fully pumped system that includes water storage tanks in the loft and gravity-fed hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard. With either internal, external or wall-hung boiler. Ideal for customers with a higher hot water demand. back to top

Conventional (un-vented)

Fully pumped system that gives superior performance without the need for storage tanks in the loft. With either internal, external or wall hung boiler. Ideal for customers that require high hot and cold water pressure. back to top

Current Building Regulations mean that all new boilers in England and Wales must be of the high efficiency condensing type, rated A or B on the SEDBUK scale. This applies to all of the above types of system. See http://www.est.org.uk/housingtrade/Heatingpage/ on the Energy Saving Trust web site for more details.

The following can be used in conjunction with all of the above systems:

Eliminates the need for wall hung radiators. This provides a balanced heat throughout the house. Ideal for houses with large open plan areas. back to top

Solar

Panels fixed to the roof that will reduce heating fuel costs.. Meets most hot water needs through the summer but limited in the winter. Must be used in conjunction with a conventional heating system. Ideal for people who have concerns about the environment. back to top
